The Morpheous Geodesy is not a radar detector but a GPS based device programmed with a database of all known fixed speed cameras. The system tracks your location via satellite and warns you in advance when you are approaching a speed camera. The Geodesy Plus will also warn you if you're exceeding the speed limit in the area as you approach.
As both the Morpheous Geodesy and the Morpheous Geodesy Plus are shock, vibration and weather resistant they are ideal for use on motor bikes and can still be used in trucks, vans and cars as well.

The Geodesy is driven by a continuously updated central database containing all known fixed speed camera locations including radar, laser, and even the new digital cameras. This database contains all the GPS (global positioning system) coordinates and speed limits of where the cameras are located.
The information is passed from the central database to your Geodesy via a Desktop Modem Interface which is supplied with every unit. This is an easy-to-use and fast operating device which in no time at all (normally between 30 seconds and 3 minutes) downloads the entire UK database of speed camera locations, ensuring that you never miss out on any updates.
Once your Geodesy is armed with all the locations, it's ready to work. Powered from the cigarette lighter socket or hard wired, when you are approaching one of these fixed speed camera locations Geodesy begins to inform you with visual and audio warnings. You can adjust the warning you get from 0-5 miles, the default is 1 mile. It's as simple as that!
Additionally the Geodesy Plus gives you even more reassurance with Speed Sensitivity and auto ranging. Armed not only with speed camera locations but also with the speed limits in force at those locations, Geodesy will initiate its full visual and audio alarms only if the speed limit is being exceeded, selecting your warning according to your speed.
