Morpheous Geodesy Plus- Our Review

We have personally tried and tested all the units, so having used all the products we thought we would share with you our impressions.

The original GPS device! Morpheous had drivers roaming around the countryside noting the co-ordinates of all the speed cameras and compiling a unique database. This was the first on the market and for years was the only unit of its kind. Its database is therefore proven beyond doubt - the most reliable on the market. And for the continent you can get a Benelux countries upgrade if you need it.

Although looking rather basic, the Geodesy Plus does what you need it to do. It doesn't give you any unnecessary information you get with some other units, it just has a series of LED lights, which alert you when nearing a speed camera. It knows your speed, the limit, and is programmable to alert you only when you're breaking the limit.

The Geodesy Plus is ideal for use on a bike. You can get a hard wire kit to fix the power lead on the bike, but the beauty is that you can then take the main unit with you in your pocket. It sits in a cage on the bike that can stay there while you remove the important bit so it doesn't get stolen by an unscrupulous passer-by. It's also quite a bit smaller than some of the others on the market so it doesn't have to look too unsightly on your bike.

An excellent, proven product, although a little long in the tooth these days with so many recent rivals new to the market. Still unbeatable for a bike though.
What we like
  • Great for bikers as it's the only weatherproof model on the market

What we don't like
  • Basic display & functions a little dated now.
