Police Officer Twice Caught Speeding by the Same Camera

13th July 2011

An Australian Senior Police Officer has been caught breaking the speed limit twice by the same speed camera whilst on duty.

The officer was caught travelling at 125kph in an 80kph stretch of road and then caught again but this time travelling at 134kph along the very same stretch.

When the Officer realised what had happened he immediately contacted his superiors to inform them as to what happened.

It is not currently known as to what incident the officer was travelling to at the time as he was alone in the vehicle and did not call the job in.

The authorities are investigating as to weather the incident warranted the speeds that the Officer was traveling at but it is known that the vehicles sirens and lights where on at the time.

The Australian Police have said that its officers gauge their speed according to the job at hand and that the incident was being looked into.
