Origin b2 Press Reviews

Here we have collected together for you snippets of what the press, trade and industry experts think of the Origin B2.

Autocar - May 28, 2003
Origin has placed the emphasis on subtle installation and the extra minutes taken to set it up are more than compensated for by the finished effect. The unit is slightly bigger than a pager and designed to sit on a holder like a mobile phone. It can be removed for security. The well sized LCD display is easy to read, displaying need to know information while the features are hidden yet easily accessed. The warning sounds grab your attention - it's very loud - and are graded according to whether you are over or under the limit . Every camera and speed was detailed correctly and satellite lock was constant. The speedo however, was slow to react to change.

Auto Express March 2004 – 5 stars (BEST BUY)
The B2 proved a highly effective unit, and deservedly took our Best Buy award. Although neatly packaged, the screen gives lots of useful information including speed limit, trap type and a graphic/numerical countdown to a camera. It also includes schools and blackspots, and the display panel simply lifts off and into a pocket for security. It's permanent fit - taking about an hour for most cars - with a separate plug- in laser sensor and antenna.

Auto Express, March 30 th 2005 - 3 stars
Plug and play is all the rage with sat-nav and camera warning devices, but this took half an hour to fit, which counts against it.

The B2 had a separate antenna - but Origin also offers a model with an integrated aerial, the B2 Solo, which would be a better choice. Behind the wheel the B2 worked well, counting down to sites and giving your speed and the limit.

The slot-in screen was easy to use, if a bit hard to see in certain lights. The high price did it no favours, either.
